Shortname was made when our company realized that there was a better way people could advertise their brands online, which was an idea we felt that needed to be brought to life. Combining brand awareness with efficient link management, we spent years polishing our homemade link management tool with the goal of helping businesses of any kind, whether they were large or small, new or old. We want to support the growth of these companies by enhancing their online presence, while also providing them with a place to quickly and easily manage their branded links.

So long as a business or individual owns a domain, they'll be able to create, customize and control their links according to how they see fit. This lets people promote their brand with every link they post online, and help them keep track of these links  with an intuitive directory and landing page. A simple solution for a difficult problem.
